HECO®TINE – MANY SMALL STEPS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

For us, taking responsibility for our actions starts with taking a closer look: Where do we use resources? Where can we improve our processes? And where can we make a contribution beyond our core business?
With HECO®TINE, we have given this idea a face. Our busy colleague is our ambassador for the various activities and projects through which we at HECOPLAST® support our region, our environment and the people around us. HECO®TINE represents our commitment to turning responsibility into concrete action. She reminds us to continually review our processes and the way we work, and to take action wherever we can make a difference.

DILIGENCE, STRUCTURE AND DIVERSITY

As a manufacturer of plastic additives, we use raw materials, energy and other resources in our processes. This is an inherent part of our industrial activities – and precisely why we pay close attention to how we use these resources and where we can further improve our operations. For example, we have already converted our material handling equipment to electric power and use heat pumps with green electricity for heating. When developing our additives, we consider not only the specific technical requirements, but also how we can influence material properties and applications in a targeted way.

Our commitment, however, does not end at the factory gates. We support reforestation projects and are committed to supporting young athletes in our region.

And then there are our flower marbles: a simple way to help create additional flowering areas and provide more food sources for bees and other pollinating insects.

These measures pursue different objectives. None of them alone makes a company “green” or “sustainable”. Instead, they provide concrete examples of where we are taking action today and what we have already put into practice.

WHY A BEE?

Diligence, structure and diversity – these are the qualities our HECO®TINE represents. And just like her, we keep moving forward. With her by our side, we want to continue exploring new ideas, developing further projects and reducing our environmental footprint. Step by step, with a clear focus on what we ourselves can change. Because what we set in motion today should continue to make a difference tomorrow.

Honey-sweet memory

But there is much more to HECO®TINE than the bee itself. Her name is a tribute to our company founder, chemist Wolfgang Henzler, who affectionately called his daughter “Tine”.
For us, HECO®TINE therefore connects the past with the future: our family roots, our close ties to the region and our commitment to developing HECOPLAST® step by step. She reminds us to stay attentive, to question the way we do things and to take action where we can genuinely make a difference.

We fly on our HECO®TINE. Are you flying with us?
